The Mineralogical Society of Great Britain and Ireland is an international society for all those working in the mineral sciences.
The Society has filled its 150 free student member quota for 2016-7. All students joining from now on will have to pay the (heavily subsidised) student rate of membership, £19 per year.

Journal Subscription Prices for 2017
Subscription prices for Mineralogical Magazine and Clay Minerals for 2017 have now been posted here. Note that our journals will be online only from 2017 onwards...
All members' subscriptions include online access to both journals via the Society website. For members who insist on a paper copy, the cost of production and mailing will have to be charged. For individuals, the cost will be £60 per journal (£100 for two paper journals).
For libraries the cost of paper journals will be £100 for Clay Minerals and £150 for Mineralogical Magazine.

In a change from previous practise, student applications for free membership must apply by the end of the calendar year prior to the year of intended membership. A maximum of 150 free members is allowed in any one year.)
